MARGOT OVEN

After graduating from Princeton University, Margot began her career in New York City. She worked as a Design Consultant for the flagship Laura Ashley Home Store on Madison Avenue, before becoming the District Manager of the East Coast. She was recruited by J. Crew where she spent the next few years overseeing the opening of 35+ stores as Director of Retail, acting as the liaison between Design Planning / Construction and Retail Operations.

After moving to CA in 1998 and spending several years working as a staging and merchandising consultant, Margot started her own Staging business in 2010. Her strong operations and merchandising ability, combined with her gift of design & detail, produces remarkable results for both the vision as well as the execution of projects. Margot lives with her teenage son, a Labrador retriever and 2 pocket Beagles.

 

ESIN TAYANC

Esin was born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey and graduated from Bosphorus University. She went on to fly for Turkish Airlines for 7.5 years, with two years of it focused on the private transportation of the former Prime Minister and the President.  

Almost 25 years ago she moved to Marin County and stayed home to raise her daughter and son.  Whether heavily involved in school fundraising, or with community events, she has used her creative mind to add beautiful original craft designs.  In more recent years she has used her advanced photography skills to construct fine-art imagery for her clients.  She is the Co-Owner and Creative Director of IN Creative Co. and joined MO Design's team in November 2015 as their Photographer.

Esin lives with her two children, significant other, and a white rabbit named Nuzzle.

 

INGRID MELIN

Ingrid is a native from Mill Valley, CA. She graduated from San Francisco State with a degree in Speech and Communications and continued her education at the U.C Berkeley Extension Program studying Architectural and Interior Design. Ingrid went on to work for two high end residential interior design firms in San Francisco before starting her own design business IM Interior Design.  She is known for her expertize in color, textiles, custom upholstery and window treatments. She has a fine sense for details and lends a personalized touch to reflect each client's personal and individual style blending elegance, comfort and function.

Ingrid recently moved back to Mill Valley where she lives with her son, Julian and her dog, Foxy Baby.  She is an aspiring jazz singer and has performed throughout the Bay Area. Ingrid joined the MO Design team in the beginning of 2016 and looks forward to bringing her extensive experience to assist with staging and client development.

 

DENAY SCHARPF

Denay graduated from Indiana University and has been an executive recruiter at the Gap for nearly 13 years. In the process of buying, selling and renovating her own properties in the Bay Area, Denay’s long time interest in staging and interior design fully blossomed. She is an avid collector of antiques and curiosities that spark conversation, and loves composing rooms around unique statement pieces.

On the side, Denay also paints and distresses reclaimed furniture, sews dresses and blankets for her children, and runs a full line of athletically styled clothing for her children’s school. Denay lives in Marin with her husband, three children and her dog, Scout.
